“Truth always forces its way into rational minds.” – Jonathan Swift
In this third and final part in the latest series, I’d like to go back to the beginning. Despite the fact that we’ve been around for quite some time, not a lot is known about how we came to be who we are. Yes, we’re making amazing strides in figuring out how we think and what we feel, but is there’s only so much good we can hope for? Perhaps some things are simply meant to be unknown.

“He who will not reason is a bigot; he who cannot is a fool; and he who dares not is a slave.” – Sir William Drummond
Well, it seems there are more things in life we’re still figuring out, many of which are completely changing the way we think. Perhaps it’s better to be dirty than clean; perhaps video games are actually good for you; and perhaps too much positive thinking is not. Never before has an open mind been more prized.

“Whoever ceases to be a student has never been a student.” – George Iles
Isn’t the human mind amazing? So much of what we experience is based on thoughts we aren’t even aware of. It’s also based on things we don’t know we do and things we don’t really see. Who knew maps had so much to say or it was possible to predict divorce through smiles? Clearly, the mind’s job is just beginning.
