Isn’t the human mind amazing? So much of what we experience is based on thoughts we aren’t even aware of. It’s also based on things we don’t know we do and things we don’t really see. Who knew maps had so much to say or it was possible to predict divorce through smiles? Clearly, the mind’s job is just beginning.

Still Keeping Languages Alive

Several weeks ago, I wrote about the importance of keeping languages alive. Since then I’ve come across two great articles that seem to confirm I had a point after all! It turns out being able to speak more than one language actually makes you smarter. Maybe that’s not surprising. What is surprising is the fact that living overseas, even for a short time, does so too. I guess all that’s left to say on the subject is bon voyage!

Brain Food

They say you are what you eat. And we’ve all heard a million times the importance of a healthy diet. Never skip breakfast because thinking is hard work on an empty stomach. And as far as foods that boost brain power, always fill up on the best. It’s the smart thing to do.
