Skin Deep
There’s no denying we live in a somewhat materialistic society. A lot of emphasis is placed on external factors such as money, status, and looks. I recently came across an article that talks about how pretty people tend to be more successful in life and another one that links company profits to the chief executive’s image. What do you think? Does beauty really matter or is it all about what’s on the inside?

I would say beauty matters but then again - I find beauty in cleanliness, grooming, the natural goodness of life.. stuff like that. I just like well kept things and taking care of myself.
I also find, quite often, that someone with a pleasant attitude or a rich soul is quite beautiful. I just gravitate towards that.
For me quality beats the race any day. Thats not everyone though - hence - why the reality of whats going on in our society is sobering.

I agree that beauty really comes from within. The only problem is that most people aren’t going to bother finding your inner beauty if your outer beauty doesn’t reflect it in some way. It really doesn’t have to be extreme. As long as you take a little pride in your appearance and grooming, that should be enough.
